INPUT PHASE LOSS

Schindler · Altivar 312 Drive

What does PHF mean?

This fault signifies a loss of one or more input phases to the drive. This can be due to incorrect power connection, a blown fuse, or using a three-phase drive on a single-phase line supply, especially under load. This protection only activates when the drive is operating under load.

Common Causes

  • Incorrect power connection to the drive.
  • A blown fuse in one of the input phases.
  • Attempting to use a three-phase ATV312 drive on a single-phase line supply.
  • Unbalanced load on the drive.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Check the power connection at the input terminals of the drive and inspect all input fuses.

  2. 2

Ensure a three-phase line supply is used if the ATV312 is a three-phase model.

  3. 3

Disable input phase loss detection by setting the [Input phase loss] (IPL) parameter to [No] (nO) in the [FAULT MANAGEMENT] (FLt-) menu (page 94).
