What does 89 mean?

The brake coil has experienced a thermal overload, is defective, or is connected improperly. This can lead to braking issues, potential drive damage, and requires inspection of the brake system.

Common Causes

  • Ramp time set too short, causing frequent or prolonged brake engagement and overheating
  • Defective brake coil
  • Incorrect brake coil connection
  • Mismatched drive (brake coil) and MOVIMOT® frequency inverter combination signaled shortly after first enable
  • Incorrect setting of DIP switch S1/6 for combinations of MOVIMOT® and motor with a lower power rating

    Check the brake coil connection and correct if necessary

    Check the setting of DIP switch S1/6 for combinations of MOVIMOT® and motor with one lower power rating

    Reset the error by switching off the DC 24 V supply voltage
