Infeed: Failure of One or Several Line Phases
Siemens · DAsl Diagnostics and Alarms
What does F06200 mean?
One or more line supply phases have failed, or an overvoltage condition has occurred. This fault can manifest during power-on due to incorrect phase assignment between a VSM and the power unit, or during operation due to a voltage dip, prolonged overvoltage, severe overload, or a missing line reactor. This immediate OFF2 reaction halts operation and indicates a serious power supply instability or hardware misconfiguration that requires immediate attention to prevent damage.
Common Causes
- Complete loss of one or more incoming AC line phases (e.g., blown fuse, open circuit breaker, utility outage upstream).
- Severe imbalance in incoming line voltages or complete phase reversal in the main power connection.
- Incorrect phase assignment or wiring between the Voltage Sensing Module (VSM) and the power unit, particularly during initial commissioning.
- Momentary or sustained overvoltage condition on one or more phases, exceeding the infeed unit's protection limits.
- Failure of internal voltage sensing hardware within the infeed unit or the connected VSM (Voltage Sensing Module).
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Immediately de-energize the infeed unit and measure the voltage between all three incoming line phases (L1-L2, L2-L3, L3-L1) and each phase to ground (L1-GND, L2-GND, L3-GND) using a multimeter.
- 2
Inspect all upstream protective devices (e.g., circuit breakers, fuses) for tripped conditions or blown elements; replace or reset as necessary.
- 3
Verify the phase sequence and wiring connections at the infeed unit's input terminals (e.g., 3L1, 3L2, 3L3) and ensure no phase reversal.
- 4
Check connections between the Voltage Sensing Module (VSM) and the infeed power unit for proper seating and secure wiring, if a VSM is utilized.
- 5
Review parameter P0210 (Voltage factor for line phase monitoring) and related phase monitoring parameters for correct configuration relevant to the supply voltage.
