Vacon · NXP AFE-II Drive
The Main Circuit Breaker (MCB) state is inconsistent with the drive's command. This includes scenarios where the MCB opens when commanded to close, closes when commanded to open, opens externally while the AFE unit is running, or is in a tripped state as reported by a digital input. This is a critical safety and operational fault.
Click steps to track your progress.
Manually operate the MCB to observe its mechanical action and confirm it closes and opens freely.
Measure continuity across the MCB's auxiliary contacts in both open and closed states to verify correct feedback operation.
Inspect the control voltage (e.g., 24VDC) supplied to the MCB's closing and opening coils, ensuring it is nominal.
Check for external trip indicators or flags on the MCB that might explain an uncommanded opening.
Verify the integrity of the control wiring between the drive's control terminals and the MCB's auxiliary contacts and coils.
Adjust parameter P5-05 (MCB Close Delay Time) to a longer duration if repeated faulting indicates a timing issue.
