IGBT temperature (hardware)

Vacon · 100 FLOW Application Guide

What does 31 mean?

The IGBT Inverter Bridge hardware overtemperature protection has detected an excessively high short-term overload current. This typically occurs under heavy transient loads or with incorrect motor sizing.

Common Causes

  • Internal hardware fault detected in the IGBT temperature sensor or circuit.
  • Overheating of the IGBT module detected by dedicated hardware monitoring.
  • Faulty IGBT module reporting incorrect temperature.
  • Wiring issue to the hardware temperature sensor.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1
