What does 54 mean?
This fault indicates that the connection between an optional board and the main API (control unit) has been broken. This could be due to an improperly seated option board, a faulty slot, or a damaged board itself.
Common Causes
- Charging switch (contactor) remains open after attempted closure.
- Faulty charging contactor coil or contacts.
- Loss of control signal to the charging switch.
- Mechanical obstruction preventing the charging switch from closing.
- Pre-charge resistor circuit failure preventing switch closure.
