7
Saturation Trip
Vacon · NX All-in-One Application
What does 7 mean?
This fault indicates an internal issue such as a defective component or a short-circuit/overload in the brake resistor circuit. If accompanied by Fault 1 (Overcurrent), it suggests a problem with the motor cable or the motor itself, leading to saturation conditions within the drive's output stage.
Common Causes
- The magnetic flux in the motor core has reached saturation levels.
- Over-excitation of the motor causing magnetic saturation.
- Incorrect motor control parameters leading to saturation.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Immediately switch off all power to the drive.
- 2
If Fault 7 occurs concurrently with Fault 1 (Overcurrent), inspect the motor cables for damage or short circuits.
- 3
If Fault 7 occurs concurrently with Fault 1, inspect the motor for insulation issues or internal damage.
