Device removed

What does 39 mean?
An option board has been removed from its slot, making the device unavailable to the drive. This indicates a configuration change where a previously installed board is no longer present. The drive needs to acknowledge this change to clear the fault status.
Common Causes
- Option board physically dislodged from its slot due to vibration or improper seating during installation.
- Accidental removal of an option board while the drive was powered off but configuration retained.
- Incorrect handling during maintenance, leading to an option board not being reinstalled correctly.
- Software configuration (e.g., parameter P7-01) indicating a board present that has been physically removed.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Power down the drive completely and verify zero voltage on DC bus terminals.
- 2
Open the drive enclosure and inspect all option board slots for the presence of a board.
- 3
If an option board is missing, reinstall the correct board into its designated slot.
- 4
Verify the secure seating of the option board by checking retaining clips or screws.
- 5
Power up the drive and confirm the fault clears. If not, check parameter P7-01 for board configuration.
- 6
If the board is intentionally removed, update parameter P7-01 (or equivalent) to "0" (No option board) and save parameters.
