I/O-LED 1-6

Changed I/O module configuration found after AUTORESET (Fault code 1, argument 6)

Wago · Modular I/O System PROFIBUS DP

What does I/O-LED 1-6 mean?

The Fieldbus Coupler detected a discrepancy between its configured I/O module arrangement and the physically connected modules immediately after an AUTORESET. This means the actual hardware setup of the I/O node does not match the software configuration stored in the coupler.

Common Causes

  • Physical I/O module arrangement does not match the current software configuration
  • I/O modules were added, removed, or reordered without updating the coupler's configuration

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Adapt the configuration in the engineering software to precisely match the physically connected I/O module arrangement.

  2. 2

Load the updated configuration onto the coupler.

  3. 3

Cycle the supply voltage of the coupler (off then on again) to restart the device and apply the new configuration.
