Yaskawa · F7 Drive
This fault is triggered when an external condition connected to multi-function digital input terminal S7 activates the Drive's external fault function, causing the Drive to stop. It indicates an issue with the external device or process monitored by S7, which could lead to machine downtime or safety risks if misidentified.
Click steps to track your progress.
Identify the specific external device connected to terminal S7 based on the H1-07 parameter setting.
Using a multimeter, verify the voltage present at terminal S7 (relative to SN) matches the expected input state for a non-fault condition.
Confirm that parameter H1-07 is correctly programmed for the 'External Fault' function and the appropriate contact logic (N.O./N.C.).
Inspect the entire wiring path from the external device to terminal S7 for any signs of damage, loose connections, or incorrect termination.
Attempt to manually reset the external device or simulate its normal operating state to see if the fault clears.
