Yaskawa · F7 Drive
This auto-tuning fault indicates an error in the motor data input, a mismatch between motor output and rated current, or an issue with no-load current vs. input motor rated current during vector control auto-tuning. Incorrect motor data prevents the Drive from accurately characterizing the motor, potentially leading to inefficient operation or damage from improper control.
Click steps to track your progress.
Verify all motor nameplate data (Voltage, Current, Frequency, RPM, Poles) is accurately entered into Drive parameters E1-01 to E1-06.
Ensure the motor is properly connected to the Drive's output terminals (U, V, W) and that all motor power leads are securely terminated.
Perform a static auto-tuning procedure (T1-01=1) with the motor disconnected from its mechanical load if possible, to get accurate motor data.
Using a megohmmeter, test the motor windings for insulation resistance to ground and between phases to detect internal motor faults.
Check for consistency between the Drive's rated output current and the motor's rated current (E1-03). A significant mismatch can cause issues.
