Pullout Detection

Yaskawa · P1000

What does Sto mean?

The drive has detected that the motor has pulled out of synchronization, often due to severe overload or insufficient torque. This results in the motor losing speed control.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Inspect mechanical load for binding, misalignment, or severe overload conditions that could cause motor pullout.

  2. 2

Verify drive parameters including motor nameplate data (voltage, current, frequency, RPM), acceleration/deceleration times, and current limit settings (e.g., C1-01) against motor specifications and application requirements.

  3. 3

Inspect motor power cabling for loose connections, damage, or signs of overheating at both the drive and motor terminals.

  4. 4

Measure motor phase currents while the drive attempts to run, checking for balance and excessive draw, which may indicate an overload or motor issue.
