This fault indicates a general hardware problem within the drive's control circuit. Such internal issues can prevent the drive from functioning correctly and may lead to complete operational failure. Continued use with this fault can exacerbate internal damage to sensitive electronic components.
Click steps to track your progress.
Verify the drive's environmental conditions, ensuring the cabinet temperature does not exceed 40°C (104°F) using a non-contact thermometer.
Execute a full power down sequence, waiting for the DC bus voltage to discharge completely (display usually shows 0V or off).
Check the integrity of any ribbon cables or internal connectors on the control board for secure seating and bent pins.
Measure the internal 5VDC rail at known test points (e.g., TP101, TP102) on the control board with a multimeter.
If remote access is possible, attempt a diagnostic log retrieval via the drive's service port (e.g., COM1).
As a last resort before replacement, try reprogramming the drive's application code (Parameter P0-02).
