Parameter Setting Out of Range

What does oPE02 mean?

One or more drive parameters have been set to a value that falls outside their permissible setting range. This prevents the drive from accepting the configuration and can lead to operational issues or prevent the drive from starting.

Common Causes

  • Manual entry of a parameter value (e.g., maximum frequency A1-04) that exceeds its defined upper limit or falls below its lower limit.
  • Parameter group copy/paste from another drive model with different parameter ranges.
  • Attempting to set interdependent parameters (e.g., A1-04 max frequency vs E1-04 V/f reference frequency) where one value restricts the other.
  • Firmware version incompatibility with an uploaded parameter file, causing some parameters to be out of range for the current firmware.

    4. If multiple parameters are involved, check for interdependencies (e.g., ensure A1-04 is greater than A1-03, and E1-04 is less than or equal to A1-04).

    5. Perform a parameter initialization (Parameter A1-03 to '2' or similar) if a wide range of settings appear incorrect (note: this will reset all parameters to factory defaults).
