Analog Input / PID Function Conflict

Yaskawa · V1000

What does oPE07 mean?

A conflict exists in the settings related to multi-function analog inputs H3-02 and H3-10 or PID functions. This could be due to H3-02 and H3-10 being set to the same value (excluding 0 and F) or PID functions being assigned to both analog inputs and the pulse input simultaneously, leading to ambiguities in control logic.

Common Causes

  • Multi-function analog input H3-02 and H3-10 are both assigned the same function (value other than 0 or F) when only one is allowed for that specific function.
  • PID control function (e.g., Parameter b3-01, b3-02) is enabled and attempting to use an analog input that is simultaneously configured for another non-PID function.
  • Two different PID-related functions (e.g., PID reference and PID feedback) are incorrectly assigned to the same analog input.
  • Parameter settings imported from another drive with a different I/O configuration without proper review.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

    1. Access parameters H3-02 (Multi-Function Analog Input 2) and H3-10 (Multi-Function Analog Input 3) via the drive's keypad or programming software.

  2. 2

    2. Review the function assignments for H3-02 and H3-10; ensure they are not set to the same value, unless '0' (disabled) or 'F' (external fault) are explicitly allowed for duplication.

  3. 3

    3. If PID control is active, check PID related parameters (e.g., b3-01, b3-02, b3-03 for PID reference/feedback sources) to ensure they are using distinct and appropriate analog inputs.

  4. 4

    4. Reassign conflicting parameters to unique functions or disable unused functions (set to '0').

  5. 5

    5. Perform a drive power cycle after correcting the parameter settings.
