bCE

Bluetooth Communication Fault

Yaskawa · V1000

What does bCE mean?

This fault indicates an issue with Bluetooth communication between the drive's keypad and a connected smartphone or tablet using the DriveWizard Mobile application. Common causes include the mobile device being too far from the keypad or radio interference from other devices operating in the 2.4 GHz bandwidth. Loss of communication means remote monitoring and control capabilities are unavailable.

Common Causes

  • Mobile device (smartphone/tablet) is out of effective Bluetooth range from the keypad.
  • Excessive electromagnetic interference (EMI) or physical obstructions disrupting the Bluetooth signal.
  • Bluetooth functionality is disabled on either the keypad (if configurable) or the mobile device.
  • Outdated DriveWizard Mobile application or keypad firmware leading to communication incompatibility.
  • Too many Bluetooth devices attempting to connect to the keypad simultaneously, causing congestion.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Ensure the mobile device is within 10 meters (30 feet) line-of-sight of the keypad for optimal signal.

  2. 2

Verify Bluetooth is activated on both the keypad (if applicable) and the mobile device settings.

  3. 3

Relocate the mobile device or keypad away from other radio-emitting equipment or large metal structures.

  4. 4

Check for and install any available firmware updates for the keypad and the DriveWizard Mobile application.

  5. 5

Restart the Bluetooth connection on both devices and attempt to re-pair them.
