CPF19

Control Circuit Error

Yaskawa · V1000

What does CPF19 mean?

This fault indicates a general hardware problem within the drive's control circuit. Such internal issues can prevent the drive from functioning correctly and may lead to complete operational failure. Continued use with this fault can exacerbate internal damage to sensitive electronic components.

Common Causes

  • Failure of the internal diagnostic monitoring unit or self-test logic, reporting a false error in the control circuit.
  • Severe electromagnetic interference (EMI) ingress affecting sensitive low-voltage control signals on the board.
  • Corrupted configuration data for specific safety functions or interlocks (e.g., STO input P4-01).
  • Over-voltage or transient spike damaging a specific logic gate or buffer IC on the control board.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Verify the integrity of the protective earth connection to the drive and the shielding of control cables.

  2. 2

Perform a complete power down of the drive, waiting until the display goes completely dark.

  3. 3

Visually inspect the control board for any signs of ESD damage or burn marks near active components.

  4. 4

Measure the incoming control voltage (e.g., 24VDC) at its dedicated terminals to ensure it is stable and correct.

  5. 5

Attempt to reset all parameters to factory defaults (e.g., P1-00 to 1) and then carefully reconfigure only essential settings.

  6. 6

If a firmware update is available, perform it to address potential software-related issues.
