Consequently, the PLC may not boot correctly or execute any safety-critical applications, rendering it non-functional or unsafe.

• Incompatible boot project version with the safety PLC's firmware or hardware revision.
• Corrupted boot project file being downloaded from the engineering station.
• Communication issues (e.g., Ethernet cable fault, network configuration) between the engineering station and the safety PLC during download.
• Insufficient memory space on the safety PLC for the boot project.
• Flash memory write protection enabled or flash memory defect preventing the boot project from being stored.
