¿Qué significa 10019 ?

The drive has detected an over-temperature condition in the motor. This can be due to a hardwired thermistor input (X10) detecting overheating from a PTC sensor, or from a serial encoder (e.g., Hiperface DSP) reporting excessive motor thermistor resistance. Failure to address this can lead to motor damage and shutdown.

Causas comunes

  • Motor winding over-temperature detected by PTC thermistor connected to X10 input (e.g., pin X10/1 and X10/2 resistance exceeding trip threshold, typically >1.65 kΩ).
  • Motor feedback device (e.g., Hiperface, EnDat encoder) reporting an internal over-temperature condition from its integrated sensor.
  • Excessive motor load or prolonged operation above rated torque, causing stator windings to overheat.
  • Inadequate motor cooling due to blocked ventilation fins or failed external cooling fan (if equipped).
  • Motor insulation degradation leading to increased losses and heat generation.

    Measure the resistance across motor thermistor terminals X10/1 and X10/2 on the drive; verify it is below the trip threshold (e.g., <1.65 kΩ).

    Use diagnostic software to read the motor temperature value reported by the serial encoder and compare it to the motor's rated operating temperature.

    Confirm the motor's operating load current (Parameter P1-03) does not continuously exceed the motor's rated current (Parameter P0-01).

    Inspect motor cooling fins for obstruction by dust or debris and verify external cooling fan (if present) is operational and providing adequate airflow.

    Check Parameter P1-32 (Motor thermal model) and P1-33 (Motor thermal time constant) for correct configuration matching the installed motor.

  6. 6

    Allow the motor to cool down to ambient temperature before attempting to reset the fault and restart operation.
