Rating ID mismatch

ABB · ACS880

¿Qué significa 5093 ?

There is a discrepancy between the drive's physical hardware identification and the information stored in its memory unit. This often occurs after maintenance such as a firmware update or memory unit replacement, potentially preventing the drive from operating correctly or safely.

Causas comunes

  • Replacement of the control unit or memory module (e.g., EEPROM) without proper initialization or matching to the power unit.
  • Firmware incompatibility between the power unit and control unit after an update or downgrade.
  • Internal hardware fault on the control board or power unit leading to incorrect ID recognition.
  • Corruption of the drive's non-volatile memory storing the rating ID.
  • Incorrect power unit selected in drive configuration after a factory reset.

Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación

Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.

  1. 1

Perform a factory reset of the drive (e.g., parameter P9-01 = 1), then re-enter the power unit rating manually via parameter P0-01 (Drive Rating Code).

  2. 2

Verify the firmware versions of both the control unit and power unit are compatible (refer to drive manual).

  3. 3

If a control unit or memory module was recently replaced, ensure it is the correct part number for the power unit.

  4. 4

Re-upload parameters from a backup file after a factory reset.

  5. 5

Check for any physical damage or loose connections between the control board and the power unit sections of the drive.
