I/O Module Stuck-at Error
ABB · System
¿Qué significa E3-25 ?
A 'stuck-at' error has been detected on an I/O bus module, indicating that a signal line or a logic gate within the module is permanently fixed at a high or low state. This prevents proper signal transmission or processing, leading to incorrect I/O values and unreliable control.
Causas comunes
- Internal short circuit or open circuit within the I/O module's specific channel hardware (e.g., input buffer, output driver).
- External wiring fault (e.g., short to 24VDC, short to GND, open circuit) on the problematic I/O channel.
- Failed opto-isolator or solid-state relay within the I/O module, causing a permanent ON/OFF state.
- Accumulation of conductive dust or debris bridging contacts on the module's PCB.
- Component degradation on the I/O module causing a logic gate to fail in a fixed (stuck-at) state.
Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación
Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.
- 1
1. Identify the exact I/O channel (e.g., DI_001, DO_005) from the PLC's diagnostic message or error log.
- 2
2. Disconnect all external field wiring from the identified I/O channel's terminal and observe the status in PLC software.
- 3
3. Measure the voltage at the disconnected I/O terminal (relative to GND) using a multimeter (e.g., expect 0V or 24V for output).
- 4
4. Attempt to cycle the I/O point's state via forced control in the PLC software (if it's an output).
- 5
5. Replace the I/O module if the stuck-at error persists after external wiring has been disconnected.
