Overload

Output Overload Condition

Allen-Bradley · Compact 5000 Digital I/O Modules

¿Qué significa Overload ?

This diagnostic indicates an overload condition exists on the module, meaning the module's output current limit for a specific point has been exceeded. This can occur if the connected load draws more current than the module is rated to supply. The tag automatically resets to 0 when the condition is removed.

Causas comunes

  • Load current exceeds the maximum continuous current rating of the output point
  • Connected load device is drawing excessive current due to an internal fault or malfunction
  • Accumulated current from multiple loads exceeds the module's total output current capacity

Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación

Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.

  1. 1

Measure the actual current draw of the connected load during operation to ensure it is within the module's specified output current limits.

  2. 2

Check the load device for any faults that could cause it to draw excessive current.

  3. 3

Review the system design to ensure that the output module is appropriately sized for the connected loads, considering both continuous and surge currents.
