Module Over Temperature
Allen-Bradley · Compact 5000 Digital I/O Modules
¿Qué significa OverTemperature ?
This diagnostic indicates that the module is operating at a temperature higher than its rated operating limits. This condition can lead to reduced module performance, an 'Uncertain' data quality tag, and potential long-term damage if not addressed. The tag automatically resets to 0 when the condition is removed.
Causas comunes
- Ambient temperature within the enclosure exceeding the module's specified operating temperature range
- Inadequate ventilation or airflow around the module within the control cabinet
- Module dissipating excessive heat due to heavy load or sustained high current operation
Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación
Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.
- 1
Measure the ambient temperature inside the enclosure where the module is installed — verify it is within the module's specified operating temperature range.
- 2
Ensure that ventilation openings are clear and any cooling fans or HVAC systems for the enclosure are functioning correctly.
- 3
If possible, reduce the load on the module or distribute the load across multiple output points to lessen heat dissipation.
