Nonrecoverable Module Fault
Allen-Bradley · Compact 5000 I/O Serial Module
¿Qué significa Steady red ?
The module status indicator displaying a steady red light signifies that the module has encountered a nonrecoverable fault. This type of fault prevents the module from operating normally and cannot be cleared without a module replacement if a power cycle is unsuccessful. This indicates a critical failure requiring immediate attention.
Causas comunes
- Internal hardware failure within the module (e.g., component failure, circuit board damage)
- Critical firmware corruption that prevents the module from booting or operating correctly
- Unrecoverable power supply issue to the module's internal components
Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación
Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.
- 1
Cycle power to the module by physically removing and re-inserting it into the backplane, or by toggling the system-side power supply.
- 2
If the status indicator remains steady red after power cycling, replace the module with a new one of the same catalog number.
- 3
Verify the backplane power supply voltage at the module slot is within specifications (e.g., 24VDC).
