Overvoltage can cause immediate damage to the microcontroller, leading to erratic behavior or complete failure of the terminal's safety functions.

• The supply voltage connected to microcontroller 1 (μC1) has exceeded its maximum allowed threshold.
• Overvoltage condition on the power supply line to μC1.
