Invalid parameters of the emergency stop

Beckhoff · TwinCAT 2 NC

¿Qué significa 4226 ?

The parameters configured for the emergency stop (E-Stop) function are invalid. Specifically, the deceleration or jerk values are set to less than zero, or one of these parameters is weaker (less effective) than the corresponding parameter used for normal start data. Invalid E-Stop parameters compromise machine safety, potentially leading to longer stopping distances or uncontrolled deceleration during an emergency.

Causas comunes

  • E-Stop deceleration parameter (e.g., P10-01 'EStopDeceleration') is configured to a negative value or zero.
  • E-Stop jerk parameter (e.g., P10-02 'EStopJerk') is configured to a negative value.
  • E-Stop parameters are set to be 'weaker' (smaller deceleration/jerk) than standard operational limits, which is a safety violation.
  • Configuration file corruption affecting E-Stop parameter integrity during loading or saving.
  • Firmware bug incorrectly validating E-Stop parameters, allowing unsafe values to be accepted.

Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación

Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.

  1. 1

    1. Access the NC configuration parameters for emergency stop (e.g., P10-01 'EStopDeceleration', P10-02 'EStopJerk').

  2. 2

    2. Ensure P10-01 ('EStopDeceleration') is set to a positive, non-zero value appropriate for safe stopping (e.g., 5000 mm/s²).

  3. 3

    3. Ensure P10-02 ('EStopJerk') is set to a positive value (e.g., 20000 mm/s³) to control deceleration ramp.

  4. 4

    4. Verify that the E-Stop deceleration and jerk values are greater than or equal to the normal axis operational deceleration and jerk parameters (e.g., P6-11 'DecTime').

  5. 5

    5. Reload a known good NC configuration file from backup to restore validated E-Stop settings.

  6. 6

    6. Re-test the E-Stop function under controlled conditions to verify correct operation and deceleration.
