Logic Program Restart Error

Beckhoff · TwinSAFE Logic FB

¿Qué significa GROUP Value 6 ?

The TwinSAFE logic program was unexpectedly restarted because the EtherCAT connection was restarted or a user logged in without reloading the TwinSAFE logic program (or parts of it). This can lead to an inconsistent or unsafe state if the logic program's state is not properly re-initialized, requiring a safety shutdown.

Causas comunes

  • Unexpected restart of the EtherCAT master (e.g., IPC reboot, TwinCAT runtime crash) without a subsequent TwinSAFE logic download.
  • A user logged into TwinCAT System Manager and attempted an online change or download without fully activating the TwinSAFE configuration.
  • Intermittent EtherCAT communication break followed by a reconnection, leading to an inconsistent state in the EL/EJ69x0.
  • Internal firmware error or watchdog timeout within the EL/EJ69x0 module, causing an uncommanded logic program restart.

Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación

Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.

  1. 1

    1. Ensure the EtherCAT master (e.g., industrial PC) is stable and not experiencing unexpected restarts.

  2. 2

    2. Always perform a full 'Activate Configuration' and 'Write to Flash' for the TwinSAFE project after any changes or restarts.

  3. 3

    3. Check the EtherCAT network for intermittent disconnections (e.g., faulty cables, loose connectors).

  4. 4

    4. Review the TwinCAT System Manager logs for any messages related to EtherCAT master restarts or configuration changes.

  5. 5

    5. Perform a complete power cycle of the EL/EJ69x0 module and then reload the TwinSAFE logic program.
