F2833

Ground fault in motor line

Bosch Rexroth · IndraDrive MPx02

¿Qué significa F2833 ?

A ground fault has been detected in the motor wiring or the motor itself. This means that current is flowing from one of the motor phases to ground, bypassing the normal current path. A ground fault is a serious safety concern and can cause damage to the drive's output stage or the motor insulation.

Causas comunes

  • Damaged motor cable insulation
  • Moisture or contamination in the motor terminal box or motor winding
  • Motor winding insulation breakdown
  • Loose or incorrect grounding connections
  • Damaged cable conduit allowing contact with grounded surfaces

Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación

Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.

  1. 1

Inspect the motor power cable routing, external jacket integrity, and connections at both the IndraDrive MPx02 output terminals and the motor terminal box for visible damage, loose connections, moisture ingress, or signs of arcing.

  2. 2

Disconnect the motor power cable from the IndraDrive MPx02 output terminals (U, V, W, PE) to electrically isolate the motor and the motor cable from the drive.

  3. 3

Measure the insulation resistance between each individual phase conductor (U, V, W) of the disconnected motor cable and protective earth (PE) using a megohmmeter (e.g., 500 VDC test voltage). Verify readings meet or exceed manufacturer specifications.

  4. 4

Measure the insulation resistance between each motor winding phase (U, V, W) and the motor frame/protective earth (PE) directly at the motor terminal box to identify any internal motor winding ground fault. Verify readings meet or exceed manufacturer specifications.
