ALARM 56

AMA interrupted by user

Danfoss · VLT HVAC Basic FC 101

¿Qué significa ALARM 56 ?

The Automatic Motor Adaptation (AMA) process was interrupted by the user. This is not an error but an indication that the parameter identification sequence was not completed, meaning the drive may not be optimally tuned for the motor.

Causas comunes

  • User pressed the STOP button or issued a drive halt command (e.g., via LCP or digital input) during the AMA sequence.
  • External interlock tripped (e.g., safety circuit, E-stop, safety gate) during AMA, causing the drive to stop.
  • Loss of control signal (e.g., digital input, fieldbus command) configured to stop the drive during the process.
  • Power supply interruption to the drive or control card during AMA.
  • Fault occurred in an external system (e.g., PLC, HMI) sending an unexpected stop command.

Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación

Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.

  1. 1

Confirm that the AMA process was intentionally interrupted; if not, identify the source of the unintended stop command.

  2. 2

Verify no external safety circuits (e.g., Emergency Stop, safety relays) are tripping during AMA.

  3. 3

Check the state of digital inputs (DI) configured for stop functions on terminals (e.g., DI1, DI2, DI3) with a multimeter.

  4. 4

Inspect the input power supply to the frequency converter for stability and interruptions during AMA.

  5. 5

Restart the AMA process ensuring no external commands or interruptions occur until completion.
