Control word timeout
Danfoss · VLT HVAC Drive High Power
¿Qué significa 17 ?
This warning/alarm indicates a loss of communication with the frequency converter. It becomes active when parameter 8-04 Control Word Timeout Function is not set to [0] Off. If configured to [2] Stop and [26] Trip, the frequency converter will ramp down and then trip into an alarm state, indicating a critical communication failure.
Causas comunes
- Loss of communication signal (e.g., Profibus, EtherNet/IP) from the master controller to the frequency converter.
- Incorrect setting of parameter 8-04 Control Word Timeout Function, enabling detection of communication loss.
- Physical cable break or poor connection in the communication bus wiring (e.g., RJ45 connector, M12 connector).
- Master controller (PLC/DCS) stopped transmitting the control word or experienced an internal fault.
- Communication module hardware failure on the frequency converter or master controller.
Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación
Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.
- 1
Verify the status of the master controller (PLC/DCS) program execution and communication diagnostics.
- 2
Check the status indicator LEDs on the frequency converter's communication module for communication activity and errors.
- 3
Inspect the communication cable connections at both the frequency converter and the master controller for proper seating and damage.
- 4
Measure continuity of communication cable pairs (e.g., EtherNet/IP RX/TX pairs) using a cable tester.
- 5
Confirm parameter 8-04 Control Word Timeout Function is set to the desired value (e.g., [2] Stop or [1] Freeze output) for the application.
- 6
If using a fieldbus, verify the network configuration (e.g., IP address, node ID, baud rate) matches the master controller settings.
