Reversed Speed Signal Detected in Travel

Kone · Frequency Inverter

¿Qué significa 14 ?

This error occurs when the speed feedback signal from the encoder indicates a reverse direction of travel, but the drive is commanding forward travel (or vice versa). This conflict strongly suggests an encoder wiring error, incorrect encoder mounting, or a faulty feedback device.

Causas comunes

  • Incorrect wiring of the encoder phases (e.g., A and B phases swapped) to the drive.
  • Encoder installed in the wrong physical orientation relative to the motor's expected direction of rotation.
  • Faulty encoder unit generating incorrect or reversed direction signals.
  • Drive parameter settings for encoder direction or motor phasing are incorrect.

Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación

Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.

  1. 1

Verify the wiring of the encoder A, B, and Z phases to the drive terminals against the drive manual's specifications.

  2. 2

Check the encoder's mechanical mounting orientation relative to the motor's expected rotation direction.

  3. 3

Command the motor to run in one direction and observe the actual speed feedback direction using the drive's diagnostic tools.

  4. 4

Review and adjust any drive parameters related to encoder direction or motor phasing to match the physical setup.
