BEA-Trip (Ballast resistor current detection error)

Kuka · KR C2 Robot Controller

¿Qué significa 112 ?

This fault indicates that the optocoupler responsible for detecting current flow through the ballast resistor is signaling no current, even when expected (KPS-600). This suggests a fault in the ballast resistor, its associated circuitry, or the optocoupler itself, preventing proper regenerative energy dissipation.

Causas comunes

  • BEA-Trip: Ballast resistor current detection error (P1-24).
  • Fault in the ballast resistor monitoring circuit.
  • Ballast resistor disconnected or short-circuited.
  • Internal drive fault related to energy dissipation.

Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación

Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.

  1. 1

Measure the resistance of the ballast resistor to ensure it is not open-circuited.

  2. 2

Verify that voltage is present across the ballast resistor terminals when regenerative braking is expected.

  3. 3

Inspect the optocoupler circuit board for power supply and signal integrity, if accessible.
