EEr

External error

Lenze · 4800/4900 Series

¿Qué significa EEr ?

This fault is triggered by an external safety circuit or monitoring device connected to the drive, indicating a condition outside the drive itself requires attention. By default, this critical condition triggers a full TRIP, inhibiting all ignition pulses and resetting the Ready signal, as it typically signifies an important external protective function has been activated. Manual reset is required.

Causas comunes

  • Activation of an external emergency stop button or safety light curtain connected to a digital input (e.g., DI1, DI2 configured as P3-01 to P3-08).
  • Fault condition from an external thermal sensor (e.g., motor PTC/PT100) wired to a drive input (e.g., AI1, DI5).
  • Incorrect wiring or loose connection on the external fault input terminal (e.g., X1:10) of the drive.
  • External monitoring device (e.g., over-travel limit switch, pressure sensor) detecting an out-of-spec condition.
  • Interruption of a safety circuit loop (e.g., normally closed contact opening) connected to the drive's safety input.

Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación

Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.

  1. 1

Identify the specific digital or analog input (e.g., DI1, AI1) configured as the external fault source in the drive parameters (e.g., P3-xx).

  2. 2

Check the status of the external device connected to that input (e.g., emergency stop button pressed, limit switch open).

  3. 3

Measure the voltage at the external fault input terminal (e.g., X1:10) on the drive; verify it matches the expected state (e.g., 24VDC for active, 0VDC for fault).

  4. 4

Inspect the wiring from the external fault device to the drive's input terminals for continuity and secure connections.

  5. 5

Temporarily bypass the external fault device (only for testing, with caution) by wiring a jumper across the input terminals to see if the fault clears.

  6. 6

Review the drive's event log for any correlated messages from the specific external fault input.
