CAN-IN2 Communication Error

Lenze · 8200 Series

¿Qué significa ce2 ?

A communication error has occurred on CAN-IN2, meaning faulty data is being received or the communication is interrupted. Potential causes include loose bus module connections or issues with the transmitting device. This can lead to loss of control over devices connected to CAN-IN2.

Causas comunes

  • Loose or improperly seated CAN-IN2 bus module or connector on the drive controller.
  • Damage to the CAN-IN2 bus cabling, including open circuits, short circuits, or damaged insulation.
  • Incorrect or missing bus termination resistors (120 Ohm) on the CAN-IN2 network.
  • Excessive electromagnetic interference (EMI) disrupting CAN-IN2 signal integrity.
  • Mismatched communication parameters (e.g., baud rate, node ID) in P8-11 (CAN-IN2 baud rate) or P8-12 (CAN-IN2 node ID) across devices.

Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación

Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.

  1. 1

Verify the CAN-IN2 communication module is securely seated in its slot on the drive controller, checking for proper electrical contact.

  2. 2

Inspect the entire CAN-IN2 bus cable run for signs of damage, cuts, or crushed sections.

  3. 3

Measure the resistance across the CAN_H and CAN_L lines at the network's physical ends; it should be approximately 60 Ohms (two 120 Ohm terminators in parallel).

  4. 4

Confirm CAN-IN2 communication parameters, including baud rate (P8-11) and node ID (P8-12), are correctly set and consistent for all devices on the bus.

  5. 5

Check the shielding integrity and proper earthing of the CAN-IN2 bus cable to minimize EMI influence.
