Analog Input 2 Wire Breakage

Lenze · 8200 Series

¿Qué significa sd7 ?

A wire breakage has been detected on analog input 2. If this input is configured for a 4-20 mA range, it means the current is below 4 mA, indicating an open circuit in the analog signal path. Loss of this input can lead to incorrect operation or functionality if this input is critical for control.

Causas comunes

  • Break in the conductor path of the 4-20 mA signal cable connected to Analog Input 2.
  • Faulty 4-20 mA output from the field device (sensor, transducer) connected to Analog Input 2.
  • Loose or corroded terminal connection at either the sensor side or the controller's AI2+ and AI2- terminals.
  • Incorrect parameter setting for Analog Input 2 (e.g., Parameter P2-02) expecting a different signal type (e.g., 0-10V).
  • Shorted or damaged input circuitry on the controller for Analog Input 2, preventing proper current measurement.

Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación

Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.

  1. 1

Using a multimeter set to mA range, measure the current flowing into controller terminals AI2+ and AI2-.

  2. 2

Perform a continuity test on the entire 4-20 mA signal cable run from the sensor to controller terminals AI2+ and AI2-.

  3. 3

Verify the power supply to the 4-20 mA sensor itself, ensuring it is within its specified operating voltage (e.g., 24VDC).

  4. 4

Confirm Analog Input 2 configuration parameter (e.g., Parameter A1-02) is correctly set to 'Current Input' or '4-20mA'.

  5. 5

Check for secure connections and no visible damage at the screw terminals for Analog Input 2 on the controller.

  6. 6

If possible, substitute the field sensor with a known good 4-20 mA signal generator to test the controller's input response.
