Voltage Balancing Overvoltage
Omron · SXF Inverter
¿Qué significa PF Overvolt ?
An overvoltage condition has been detected in one of the power modules, indicating a voltage balancing error within the drive's internal architecture. This typically points to issues with the motor or inconsistencies in the line connections. Sustained overvoltage can damage the drive's internal components, especially the IGBTs and DC link capacitors, leading to drive failure.
Causas comunes
- Regenerative energy from the motor exceeding the drive's braking capacity (e.g., fast deceleration with insufficient braking resistor).
- Failed or undersized dynamic braking resistor, or wiring fault to the resistor.
- Malfunction in the DC link voltage measurement circuit.
- Faulty or degraded DC link capacitors.
- Mains supply overvoltage (transient or sustained) causing DC link voltage to rise excessively.
Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación
Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.
- 1
Monitor DC link voltage (e.g., parameter P0-01) during acceleration and deceleration cycles.
- 2
Verify the dynamic braking resistor is correctly sized and connected. Measure its resistance (e.g., 20 Ohms) and check connections at terminals +/BR.
- 3
Increase deceleration ramp time (e.g., P1-03) to reduce regenerative energy if applicable.
- 4
Check incoming mains supply for overvoltage conditions using a multimeter or power quality analyzer.
- 5
Inspect DC link capacitors for signs of damage or bulging.
