Power Fault

Undetermined Power Fault

Omron · SXF Inverter

¿Qué significa Power Fault ?

This trip indicates that one of the ten underlying Power Fault (PF) conditions has occurred, but the specific cause could not be precisely determined by the drive at the time of the trip. It acts as a general power-related error. Continuous occurrence without resolution suggests a deeper power stage issue that could escalate if ignored, leading to more critical failures.

Causas comunes

  • Intermittent external hardware fault (e.g., loose power connection vibrating open).
  • Transient overcurrent or overvoltage event that clears before a specific fault code is registered.
  • Software or firmware anomaly preventing detailed fault detection.
  • Degradation of internal power monitoring circuitry.
  • Fluctuating mains supply outside of specified limits but not consistently triggering specific under/overvoltage faults.

Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación

Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.

  1. 1

Inspect all main power connections (input L1, L2, L3; output U, V, W; DC bus) for tightness and signs of overheating (discoloration).

  2. 2

Review drive's fault log (e.g., parameter P1-09) for any recurring patterns or accompanying faults.

  3. 3

Perform a full factory reset (e.g., P9-02 = 1) and reconfigure essential parameters from a known good backup.

  4. 4

Monitor incoming mains voltage and current using a power quality analyzer to detect intermittent disturbances.

  5. 5

Check for environmental factors like excessive vibration or temperature fluctuations impacting drive integrity.
