The Device Level Ring (DLR) protocol has identified an unintended redundant path, forming a network loop outside of the designed ring structure. This can lead to broadcast storms, packet duplication, and severe network instability if not resolved.

Causas comunes

  • Incorrect physical cabling that inadvertently creates an unauthorized loop in the network segment.
  • Misconfiguration of a device's DLR ports, causing it to bridge traffic in a way that bypasses the intended ring topology.
  • Connection of a non-DLR compliant device or a standard switch incorrectly into the DLR.
