Internal Fault (HMI Card)

Schneider Electric · Altivar 312 Variable Frequency Drive

¿Qué significa IF2 ?

This internal fault indicates an issue with the Human Machine Interface (HMI) card, such as it not being recognized, being incompatible, or the display being absent. While the drive might still be functional, the lack of a working HMI prevents local monitoring, parameter adjustment, and control, hindering operation and troubleshooting.

Causas comunes

  • HMI (Human Machine Interface) card improperly seated or disconnected from the main control board.
  • Incompatible HMI card installed in the drive, leading to recognition failure.
  • Damaged HMI card, including its display, buttons, or internal electronic components.
  • Intermittent electrical connection between the HMI card and the main drive control board.
  • Firmware mismatch between the drive's main firmware and the HMI card's embedded firmware.

Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación

Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.

  1. 1

    1. Carefully remove and re-seat the HMI card, ensuring all connectors are firmly engaged and secured.

  2. 2

    2. Verify the HMI card model and part number are compatible with the specific drive model (refer to drive documentation).

  3. 3

    3. Inspect the HMI card for any visible physical damage (e.g., cracks on the display, bent connector pins).

  4. 4

    4. Clean the HMI card's connector pins and the drive's corresponding slot with electrical contact cleaner.

  5. 5

    5. If a spare, known good HMI card is available, try swapping it to determine if the HMI card itself is faulty.
