An interruption in the internal serial link communication. This refers to communication between internal sub-components of the drive (e.g., control board and I/O board). This critical internal fault can lead to unpredictable behavior or complete operational failure.

• Loss of communication over the internal serial link between drive modules.
• Faulty serial cable or connector between the control and power sections.
• Electromagnetic interference disrupting serial data transmission.
• Failure of the serial transceiver on one of the connected modules.
