System malfunction

SEW Eurodrive · MCBSM

¿Qué significa F-22 ?

An internal system malfunction has occurred within the inverter electronics, potentially influenced by electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) issues. This fault causes an immediate switch-off and inhibits operation, signifying a critical internal hardware or software problem that requires expert attention.

Causas comunes

  • Communication timeout between critical internal modules (e.g., power stage driver and control board).
  • Internal bus contention or arbitration failure, preventing proper data exchange between internal processors.
  • Fault in the gate driver circuit for the power IGBTs, affecting communication feedback to the control logic.
  • Excessive vibration or shock impacting internal board connectors or solder joints.
  • Firmware bug related to specific operating modes or transitions (e.g., switching between speed and torque control modes).

Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación

Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.

  1. 1

Power cycle the inverter and monitor diagnostic parameters (e.g., P0-90, P0-91) during startup for any unusual values that indicate internal communication issues.

  2. 2

Securely fasten the inverter to its mounting surface, ensuring all mounting screws are tightened to specified torque to prevent vibration.

  3. 3

Disconnect and reconnect any modular control board connectors (if designed for service) to ensure proper seating.

  4. 4

Simplify the inverter's operational mode (e.g., switch to V/f control if it was in vector control) to test basic functionality.

  5. 5

Check for any physical damage or loose components on the inverter's main control board, particularly around power stage interface connectors.
