F00055

BOP-EEPROM Fault

Siemens · SINAMICS G120

¿Qué significa F00055 ?

A read or write failure occurred in the EEPROM of the Basic Operator Panel (BOP) during parameter cloning or saving. This could be due to a faulty BOP, an EEPROM that is too small for the stored parameters, or an incompatibility, leading to an inability to store or retrieve non-volatile parameters essential for drive configuration.

Causas comunes

  • Corrupted data within the BOP's EEPROM memory preventing successful read/write operations.
  • Physical damage or manufacturing defect of the BOP's internal EEPROM chip.
  • Interruption of power supply to the BOP during a parameter save or cloning operation.
  • Electromagnetic interference (EMI) causing data corruption during EEPROM access.
  • Attempting to store an excessively large parameter set into a BOP with limited EEPROM capacity.

Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación

Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.

  1. 1

Remove and re-insert the BOP to ensure a secure connection to the drive's interface port.

  2. 2

Attempt to re-initialize or factory reset the BOP if the option is available within its menu (e.g., 'Restore Defaults').

  3. 3

Try to perform a parameter cloning operation from the drive to the BOP again, ensuring stable power supply.

  4. 4

Replace the existing BOP with a known-good BOP to isolate whether the fault is with the panel or the drive's interface.

  5. 5

Check for sources of strong electromagnetic interference near the drive and BOP (e.g., unshielded power cables, welding equipment).
