• Encoder feedback for the measuring axis is lost or incorrect (e.g., cable damage, encoder fault, incorrect parameter P2043 for encoder type).
• Mechanical slip or backlash in the rotary axis drive train, causing a discrepancy between commanded and actual position.
• Machine data for the rotary axis home position or limits (e.g., MD34000 to MD34005) is incorrectly set.
• External forces or collision preventing the axis from reaching its intended measuring position.
