EE Checksum Error

Vacon · X4

¿Qué significa 2 ?

This fault indicates a memory problem, such as an issue during reflashing, a conflict within the drive's memory, or an inability to write parameters. It can also occur if Modbus write requests are too frequent, overwhelming the drive's processing capability. This typically suggests corrupted memory or communication overload.

Causas comunes

  • Corruption of the EEPROM (Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory) data during a firmware update process.
  • Repeated or excessively rapid Modbus write requests exceeding the drive's memory write capabilities.
  • Internal hardware defect on the control board preventing stable data storage in EEPROM.
  • Electromagnetic interference (EMI) disrupting memory write operations.
  • Aging or degradation of the EEPROM chip leading to data integrity issues.

Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación

Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.

  1. 1

    1. Perform a full parameter backup using diagnostic software (e.g., DriveWorks, Drive Composer) if possible, then execute a factory reset via parameter P0-01 (Parameter Reset).

  2. 2

    2. Update the drive firmware to the latest available version using the manufacturer's specified tool and procedure.

  3. 3

    3. Verify Modbus communication settings, specifically the baud rate and slave address, and ensure write requests are spaced appropriately (e.g., >50ms between writes).

  4. 4

    4. Isolate the drive from potential EMI sources, checking proper grounding of the cabinet and shielded communication cables.

  5. 5

    5. Replace the control board if the checksum error persists after firmware update and parameter reset.
