EF7

Ext Fault S7

Yaskawa · E7 Drive

¿Qué significa EF7 ?

An external fault condition exists connected to a multi-function digital input terminal S7. This implies an issue with an external device or wiring connected to this specific input, which could stop the drive or cause unintended behavior. This can also appear as a flashing alarm.

Causas comunes

  • Malfunction of the external device connected to digital input terminal S7 (e.g., tripped overload relay, open limit switch).
  • Open circuit in the control wiring between the external device's output and drive terminal S7.
  • Incorrect configuration of parameter H1-07 (S7 Function Selection) for the intended external fault condition (e.g., N.O. vs N.C.).
  • Loss of control power (e.g., 24VDC from terminal SN or SC) to the external device or input circuit.
  • Electrical noise or transient interference on the S7 input line causing a spurious fault detection.

Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación

Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.

  1. 1

Measure the state of the external device connected to terminal S7 (e.g., continuity of a normally closed contact, voltage output of a sensor).

  2. 2

Verify wiring continuity between the external device's output and drive terminal S7 using a multimeter.

  3. 3

Confirm parameter H1-07 (S7 Function Selection) is configured for the correct external fault type (e.g., 'External Fault normally closed').

  4. 4

Temporarily bypass the external device by jumpering terminal S7 to the common terminal (SN or SC) to isolate the drive from the external circuit.

  5. 5

Inspect the shielding and routing of the S7 input cable for proximity to power cables or sources of electromagnetic interference (EMI).
