Overspeed

Yaskawa · GA500 Maintenance and Troubleshooting

¿Qué significa oS ?

This fault occurs due to speed overshoot, incorrect PG pulse settings in the drive, or an improperly configured overspeed detection level. An overspeed condition can lead to mechanical failure, instability, and safety hazards if not promptly addressed.

Causas comunes

  • Motor speed exceeds the maximum allowed speed limit (P3-01).
  • Runaway condition due to loss of control signal or feedback.
  • Incorrect speed setpoint entered.
  • Mechanical failure causing uncontrolled acceleration.

Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación

Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.

  1. 1

Adjust the ASR (Automatic Speed Regulator) parameters: decrease C5-01 [ASR Proportional Gain 1] and increase C5-02 [ASR Integral Time 1].

  2. 2

Calibrate the PG pulse settings by adjusting H6-02 to H6-05 [Pulse Train Input Setting Parameters] and set H6-02 [Terminal RP Frequency Scaling] to the correct pulse train frequency for 100% reference.

  3. 3

Fine-tune the overspeed detection level and delay by adjusting F1-08 [Overspeed Detection Level] and F1-09 [Overspeed Detection Delay Time].

  4. 4

Perform a Fault Reset after making adjustments.
