This minor fault indicates that the upper controller is attempting to use a MECHATROLINK communication cycle that is outside the allowable setting range for the drive's MECHATROLINK option. This incompatibility prevents proper synchronized communication between the controller and the drive. If unaddressed, the drive will not be able to communicate effectively with the MECHATROLINK master, hindering coordinated machine operation.

• The master controller (e.g., motion controller, PLC) is configured to request a MECHATROLINK communication cycle time (e.g., 125µs, 250µs) that the specific drive model or MECHATROLINK option card does not support.
• Firmware mismatch between the MECHATROLINK option card and the drive's main control firmware, leading to incorrect cycle time reporting.
• Faulty MECHATROLINK option card unable to correctly identify or negotiate supported cycle times with the master.
• Improper installation or seating of the MECHATROLINK option card in its slot, leading to communication issues.
• Network configuration in the master controller specifies a cycle time that is outside the allowable range defined in the drive's MECHATROLINK parameter settings.
