Too Many Speed Search Restarts

Yaskawa · J1000

¿Qué significa SEr ?

The drive has attempted Speed Search more times than the limit set in parameter b3-19. This typically indicates that the Speed Search parameters are incorrectly configured or that the motor is coasting in the opposite direction of the commanded run.

Causas comunes

  • Speed search acceleration time (b3-04) set too short for the load inertia, preventing successful synchronization.
  • Speed search starting frequency (b3-05) configured too high or low relative to the actual coasting motor speed.
  • Motor being actively driven by another device or exhibiting unexpected behavior during speed search attempts.
  • Number of allowed speed search restart attempts (b3-19) set too low for application variability.
  • Excessive mechanical friction or external forces preventing the motor from freely coasting.

Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación

Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.

  1. 1

    1. Increase the speed search restart limit parameter (b3-19) to a higher value (e.g., 5 or 10) to allow more attempts.

  2. 2

    2. Extend the speed search acceleration time parameter (b3-04) to provide more duration for the drive to synchronize with motor speed.

  3. 3

    3. Adjust the speed search starting frequency (b3-05) closer to the expected initial motor speed.

  4. 4

    4. Confirm the motor is truly coasting and not being actively driven or braked by an external mechanism during speed search.

  5. 5

    5. Check for excessive mechanical friction or load resistance that could prevent the drive from successfully identifying the motor's speed.

  6. 6

    6. Monitor motor current and speed feedback during speed search attempts using drive diagnostics to identify synchronization issues.
