The drive's response (e.g., fault, stop, coast) depends on its communication loss settings.

• Physical disconnection or damage to the network cable (e.g., EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, Profibus) connected to the optional network card.
• Network infrastructure failure (e.g., switch failure, broken fiber optic link, power loss to network devices).
• Master controller (e.g., PLC) stopped communicating with the option card, or the option card itself has failed.
• Incorrect network configuration parameters on the drive's option card or the master controller (e.g., IP address, subnet mask, DeviceNet MAC ID).
• Excessive network traffic, latency, or collisions disrupting communication to the drive's option card.
