Overtemperature has been detected or reported within the drive or terminal. This indicates that the operating temperature of the drive, motor, or associated I/O terminal has exceeded its safe limits. Prolonged overtemperature operation can cause permanent damage to electronic components, insulation, and lead to premature failure of the equipment.

• Drive cooling fan failure or obstruction (e.g., dust accumulation) blocking airflow through the heatsink.
• Ambient temperature in the control cabinet exceeding the drive's maximum specified operating temperature (e.g., >50°C).
• Motor overload condition causing excessive current draw and heat generation in the motor and drive (Parameter P3-10, Motor rated current, exceeded for prolonged periods).
• Heatsink fins on the drive are clogged with dust or debris, severely impeding thermal dissipation.
• Drive's internal temperature sensor (e.g., accessible via diagnostic register R0-01) reporting an out-of-range value due to a fault.

   Power down the drive and allow it to cool, then visually inspect the drive's cooling fan for operation and ensure air vents are clear of obstructions.
